I am particularly proud of the warnings I issued to my clients in January/February 2020 about the impending COVID19 crisis; many reported that my research was not merely timely, but actually provided early warning about the scale of the problem and allowed greater planning for business continuity before March 2020.

My background is Tulane University, class of 2016, economics & political science. After graduation, I started work at China Fortune Land Development (CFLD), at the time one of the largest property developers in China. I worked for CFLD's strategic investments arm, Zenity Asset Management. My responsibility combined an economist and a political analysis function. My daily work involves interpreting and summarizing the latest US economic data & research, as well as political & policy developments, to support strategic decision-making by company executives.While much of the work was US macroeconomic analysis, I was particularly focused on US-China relations (such as trade conflicts) that could affect the company's businesses. To that end, I prepared briefings & memorandum on the direction of US policy on issues relevant to the company's strategic initiatives, and delivered them to our Managing Directors. This included a weekly summary. Many of these reports were delivered to the C-suite and Board of Directors of the company in Beijing. I left the company shortly before our 2020 exit from New York City and subsequent 2021 bankruptcy.
