MSL Team Lead for Mirdametinib

West Region

Responsible for the management of the West Region MSL team in support of PBC, PSC, and NASH. Oversees all aspects of the Medical Affairs plan relative to MSL activities along with integration of initiatives across functional areas, including but not limited, to Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Legal, and Commercial. Works closely and in alignment with other Regional Field Medical Directors and Executive Field Medical Director to ensure teams are executing against the tactical plans and medical objectives.

Senior Medical Science Liaison covering Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii specializing in non-viral liver disease including primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), non-alcoholic hepatitis (NASH), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Provides scientific exchange between Intercept Pharmaceuticals and healthcare providers such as hepatologists and gastroenterologists. Support clinical research with principal investigators and maintain relationships with the clinical operations team. Work closely with the director of strategic accounts to provide clinical presentations to managed care organizations and payers. Serve as the point MSL for competitive intelligence gathering. Support the launch of a new product in an orphan disease.

Executive Field Medical Science Liaison in the Department of Virology specializing in Viral Hepatitis. Provide scientific exchange between Bristol-Myers Squibb and healthcare providers. Deliver high level medical presentations to healthcare professionals and to managed care organizations. Attend scientific congress meetings. Previous Therapeutic Point for HBV Franchise and current Therapeutic Point for HCV franchise.

San Francisco Bay Area

First Virology MSL to develop and pilot a medical information / medical strategy preceptorship. Represented field medical for monthly medical matrix team meeting with home office medical strategy and medical information to ensure MSLs had the appropriate reactive materials. Key MSL presenter during National Advisory Boards, Asian Regional Experts Consortium, and FACE B Speakers Bureau meetings. Developed MSL reactive slide decks and resources for medical information responses. Created, initiated, and piloted an MSL On-Demand medical information process. Assisted Regional Associate Director with yearly Medical Brand Plan and Strategies by leveraging medical insights gained from thought leader interactions. Helped to develop and maintain the HBV New Hire Training Modules (5 modules). Provided a thorough monthly HBV literature review to virology MSLs. Served as Baraclude™ therapeutic area point MSL for 2 years and served as ongoing HBV MSL mentor and trainer for new hires for 4 years. Lead MSL at several Congress meetings helping to prioritize presentations for MSL coverage and moderated all on-site debriefs during the Congress, and write-up of Congress debrief.

Engaged in complex scientific exchange with thought leaders regarding chronic hepatitis B disease state and therapies used for chronic hepatitis B in group and individual settings. Provided coverage of key medical Congress meetings including AASLD, EASL, and DDW. Liaison for investigators interested in company sponsored and investigator sponsored clinical trials for chronic hepatitis B. Provided medical presentations to formulary committees, managed care organizations, and healthcare providers. Supported extended field matrix team including territory business managers, district business managers, account executives, and clinical site monitors. Covered regional territory including Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii
