My knowledge spans a wide range of asset classes, from traditional to alternative, including real estate, infrastructure, private loans, private equity and hedge strategies. Prior to joining CC&L Private Capital, I held roles at RBC Dominion Securities and Richardson Wealth. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a double focus degree in sciences. I have held the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation since 2014. I am a certified Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) and help my clients navigate the complex dynamics of families and their associated businesses. As a vocal advocate for socially responsible investing and values-based planning, I am also the holder of the leading Canadian ESG certification of Responsible Investment Advisor (RIAC). Having earned my Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy (MFA-P) designation, I am passionate about working with clients to identify ways to make meaningful contributions to causes they care about in a strategic way.An active fundraiser for many healthcare and arts charities, I have been especially involved with the BC Cancer Foundation and Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Canada. As a champion for financial literacy, I educate youth on money matters and fiscal responsibility. I sit as treasurer on the boards of directors of the Vancouver International Writers Festival and Adverse Drug Reaction Canada, and was a founding board member of the latter. Born and raised in Vancouver, I enjoy outdoors pursuits, including sailing, rock climbing and cycling. I can also often be found in my back garden, tending to my colony of honeybees with my wife and daughter.
