I joined ISI to serve as a Project Manager on contract with the USDA's Marketing and Regulatory Programs supporting their IT department. Specifically, I helped manage a major End User Consolidation project to merge IT support for MRP's 10,000+ end users, across two supported agencies, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and the Agricultural Marketing Service, under one central Client Experience Center attached to the USDA's OCIO.

Peridot initially brought me on to manage their contract with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ OCIO-Operations division. During my time there, I developed a very positive working relationship with HHS partners. Under my management, we grew our team on this engagement from 4 individuals to 11, secured continuation of our original contract as well as award of a follow-on contract, and leveraged our exceptional performance to gain a separate contract with the OCIO's Office of the Chief Product Officer. Simultaneously, I served as part-time PM of the OCPO team as well as on engagements for the FDA, EPA, and U.S. Army Office of Small Business Programs. In addition to my PM work with HHS, I served as a Customer Engagement Manager, and as Administrative Program Manager to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for IT and Chief Information Officer, managing the schedules of senior executives, and coordinating between OCIO, OCTO, and the Assistant Secretary for Administration’s office, while improving OCIO processes and tools. Internally for Peridot, I played key roles in two annual renewals of the company's three ISO certifications, its initial CMMI for Services - Level 3 certification, and founding of the company's Toastmasters club.

Tandem is a dynamic consulting firm and I worked hard to be a key contributor to its continued success. The projects on which I worked with Tandem varied, and I experienced a great deal of professional growth with the firm. I served as Applications Manager for the District of Columbia Public Schools'​ Office of Data & Strategy, supporting daily operations of student information systems. For the Transportation Research Board, I managed an effort to find a suitable replacement for their aging people/association management system. For the District of Columbia OCFO/OCIO, I served as Project Manager, Senior Business Analyst, and Production Support Lead. I worked with an Accenture team to develop an RFP for DC Access, a Health Benefits Exchange for modernizing benefits eligibility/enrollment capabilities and ensuring compliance with Affordable Care Act's mandates. I managed several efforts for Follett, a K-12 education software vendor, including development of mechanisms to produce reports from their Aspen student information system to meet state requirements in NY, NJ, and VA. And, I helped design and implement websites for Star-Spangled 200, Inc. and Korean American Scholarship Foundation.

I served as the Ariba technical expert for Northrop Grumman's Commercial, State, and Local Government group. I provided production support for Ariba Buyer and Lawson ERP, managing trouble tickets, ensuring timely resolutions within Service Level Agreements, producing monthly ticket reports for management, and maintaining a SharePoint document repository. I built a new Ariba environment from a copy of the production instance for Quality Assurance and Disaster Recovery purposes, and migrated production Ariba to “read-only” mode at end of its life cycle.

I contracted with Accenture to provide production support for the State Department’s Integrated Logistics Management System. Tasks included: assisting help desk personnel in resolving technical issues, conducting impact analyses for potential changes to the system, collaborating with business analysts to translate requirements for new functionality into technical design details, developing and testing modifications and enhancements to the system, improving build and version control processes.

I contributed to the implementation and support of a customized Ariba-based eProcurement system for AT&T. Tasks included: translating the complex requirements for requisition approval into code that routes electronic requisitions to approvers at various levels of the organization based on the nature of the requisitions, developing code for determining when changes require re-approval, creating various electronic forms, coding summary reports for purchase order data, and responding to production issues.

I helped implement Ariba Buyer for Sara Lee. I configured desktop development environments, developed integrations for pushing purchase orders and receipts to Lawson ERP system and for pulling data from Lawson, and customized the user interface. I managed code migration to the UNIX servers, provided testing, training, and production support, and transferred knowledge to client teammates as well as client personnel.I helped implement Ariba Buyer for the National Railway Passenger Corporation (Amtrak). I configured server environments and established remote access for the team, managed code migration to the server, and served as primary troubleshooter. I built an interface to the accounting system for real-time validation of data used on requisitions, travel authorizations, expense reports, and forms. I designed and developed interfaces to legacy procurement and general ledger systems, and automated processes for updating accounting, vendor, and HR data from external systems.

I documented a customer care and billing system for clients in Switzerland, Sweden, and The Netherlands.I developed programs for integrating Billing Adjustments with Usage Pricing software. Designed interface for users to define bill formats.I developed programs to exchange data between BellSouth's existing mainframe systems and server applications.I developed components of a custom-built customer care and billing system for Mannesmann/Arcor. I developed interfaces to external systems, combining server applications with desktop components, served as assistant team leader, and developed prototype for integrating a rules engine.I analyzed possible customizations of Ariba ORMS for the Department of Defense.I served as lead developer for implementing Ariba Buyer for AMS. I advised management on technical capabilities and limitations of Ariba, kept the project manager informed of issues, and worked with the purchasing department to assist with catalog management and supplier integration.

I completed 47-week Russian course at the Defense Language Institute, and served 3 years in Germany, operating sophisticated communications equipment and other electronics.
