I am a PhD candidate at Marquette University and a Lecturer at University of Wisconsin Green Bay where I teach courses in Business Ethics and Introduction to Philosophy. In the past I have taught courses at University of Wisconsin Green Bay, University of Wisconsin Marshfield/Wood County and Marquette University. I have taught courses including Foundations in Philosophy, Philosophy of Human Nature, Introduction to Ethics, Theory of Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Logic, and Death and the Meaning of Life.In philosophy my primary interests are existentialism--especially the works of José Ortega y Gasset, Miguel de Unamuno, and Albert Camus--and philosophy of mind. My current research is in the area of value theory and is focused on meaningfulness and mortality. In my dissertation I employ the work of philosophers from both the analytic and continental traditions to analyze the connections between the meaningfulness we (hopefully) experience in our lives, morality and our own mortality. In addition to these areas of study I am working on developing a course of study within business ethics focused on data, algorithms and artificial intelligence.
