The Trade-In program serves as a funding mechanism for customers shopping on Amazon, extending their purchasing power on the site by providing Amazon Gift Cards in exchange for trading in items that are no longer of use to them. During my time with the team, I helped launched the new Instant Savings Widget, which allows users to complete their trade-in transaction and be paid instantly, directly from a product page. This new product, combined with bust acquisition and retention marketing strategies, showed incredibly promise, leading to double-digit YoY gains in nearly all relevant metrics. Role was eight month contract covering a team member's maternity leave.

In 2014, Destiny was released and quickly became the largest new IP in the industry, selling over 12M copies. Two years, 28M retail users, and over $1B in sales later, Destiny has become a cultural touchpoint for millions of gamers. Embedded full-time at Bungie Studios, I am responsible for designing, coordinating, executing and analyzing the day-to-day operations for Destiny's CRM program. Our campaigns are designed to increase player engagement, convert players to new releases, and--with the launch of Destiny's MTX program in 2015--increase player monetization.
Customer-centricity is the key to an effective marketing strategy. As the Manager of CRM Communications and Media for Raley's Something Extra loyalty program, I was responsible for balancing the needs and desires of our customers with the immediate needs of the business by creating a comprehensive omni-channel marketing strategy. To accomplish this goal, my team ensured that every communication we produced -- whether direct mail, e-mail, website, print or mobile -- was relevant and rewarding to our customers, while simultaneously addressing a business need for Raley's. Whether it be growing sales, building brand equity, or ensuring long-term customer loyalty, our team sought cutting-edge solutions that placed the needs of the customer first, resulting in engagement far beyond industry norms and superior ROI for the business. Whether it was one-to-one targeted email campaigns, industry-first digital commerce solutions or record-setting direct mail programs, our team delivered incredible results while operating within a competitive and limited-resource environment.

Building upon the success of the GM Zoned Merchandising project, I was given responsibility for all buying and merchandising decisions for all Baby categories, working under the guidance of a Senior Business Manager. Charged with continuing to lead innovation and evolution of our GM categories, I focused on converting Raley's various baby categories from an assortment dominated by conventional brands and products, to one with a heavy organic and all-natural presence. This assortment change helped drive profit margins, while continuing to shift Raley's towards a healthy, upscale brand image. Formal responsibilities included setting the category vision and business plan, detailing product assortment, pricing, promotional activity and marketing initiatives.

In addition to the normal merchant analyst duties (compiling and analyzing research data to create recommendations that achieve category development objectives, focusing on product, price, promotion and placement), I was tasked with helping the team transform the General Merchandise department into convenient, point-of-difference categories that drive profit for Raley's. Faced with shrinking assortments and heated competition from big-box retailers, our team excelled at combining creativity with data to drive profitable change in a department that most traditional grocery retailers now ignore.

Working in the General Ledger department, I assisted the finance team with account reconciliations, journal entries, expense tracking, sales tax reporting and overage rent tracking, as well as ad hoc financial analysis and projects. My time within the accounting department gave me a great foundational understanding of the financial structure and reporting needs of a major corporation. In addition, I gained a greater appreciation for attention-to-detail and honed my financial analysis skills.

As Operations Manager for Prosper Creative I oversaw day-to-day operations in support of a $400,000 annual sales budget, supervising a staff of seven and managing all HR- and financial-related responsibilities. In my seven months with the company, I focused on controlling costs and driving peak efficiency, resulting in a reduction in expenses of 13.5% over previous YTD. Though my stint with Prosper was short, I gained a tremendous amount of experience in a fast-paced, start-up environment, deepening my understanding of company operations, HR-related issues and financial analysis (including budgeting, payroll, P&L and balance sheet analysis).

My nine months with Good Eats Grocer provided a broad and diverse set of experiences. As Director of Business Development I managed construction of a $4 million Sacramento-based Good Eats retail location, serving as chief liaison with the General Contractor, Interior Designer and Architect. Through careful planning, I helped maintain an aggressive project timeline while focusing on reducing costs, eventually lowering the total cost of construction by 4%. In addition to managing construction, I was responsible for creating a multi-faceted training program to support operations and customer service within our store(s). The program included both a FDA H.A.C.C.P.-based food safety program, as well as a number of training manuals specific to store positions (i.e. cashier, server, barista, janitor, etc.). Finally, I developed a full-time social media marketing plan to support the grand opening of our Sacramento store. The plan was designed to engage brand awareness, excite the local food community, and drive foot and web traffic upon opening. While my time with Good Eats Grocer was short-lived, the experienced I gained working in different environments on a myriad of different issues is second-to-none. I am so thankful for the experience of working alongside experienced executives as they modified operations, tweaking the original business plan to fit the realities we were experiencing.
Berkeley, Ca
In the midst of a full-time class load, I helped support the Cal Football program by organizing daily practices and game-day activities, issuing needed equipment and clothing to players and coaches, performing regular safety checks on equipment. In addition, I was responsible for creating and managing a detailed inventory of all equipment and clothing issued to all University of California sports teams and athletes to ensure proper auditing of inventory and school budgets. For these efforts I earned a full athletic scholarship to U.C. Berkeley, showing superior leadership, responsibility, attention to detail and an extensive knowledge of the equipment manager position.

Completed the necessary accounting courses to qualify for the California CPA exam while maintaining a full-time job. While I have yet.
