I'm Robert Mulvaney, an enthusiastic educator, historian, and researcher with a rich background that blends over twenty-five years of experience in science, technology, education, and a deep-seated passion for history. My academic journey is grounded in my education from George Washington University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, and from Southern New Hampshire University, where I completed a Master's degree in History with a 3.93 GPA and was elected to the Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society.My scholarly contributions include presenting research on the utilization of patent records as a tool for historical inquiry at the 136th annual American Historical Association conference in Philadelphia in 2023, and exploring the origins of geospatial technology at the American Association of Geographers conference in Chicago in 2015. These presentations underscore my interest in the history of science and technology and reflect my ongoing commitment to contributing original research to the field.Currently, I am immersed in several scholarly projects, including a novel and a project exploring hypervelocity transients in low Earth orbit, highlighting my continuous pursuit of knowledge across various domains. My educational credentials are further complemented by a career switcher's license in secondary education, providing me with a comprehensive foundation in pedagogy and andragogy. This background enables me to employ state-of-the-art educational practices across multiple levels of education, both in-person and in remote formats.In my roles as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Arizona Global Campus, Purdue University Global, and Southern New Hampshire University, I am dedicated to creating vibrant learning environments. My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that education has the power to transform lives, a principle I apply through personalized connections, innovative teaching methods, and a commitment to fostering the intellectual growth of my students.My life outside academia is equally vibrant, filled with personal interests that include cooking, disc golf, photography, and astronomy.
