Morning Deliveries And Order Fulfillment Associate

Canton, Michigan, United States

As the morning Deliveries and Order Fulfillment associate, I am relied on to arrive on-site one hour before the store opening to check orders gathered together from the day before for accuracy and to ensure that they go out as scheduled. This involves making sure all items in the order are present and correct, orders are properly wrapped and secured to pallets if required, and loading the orders with forklifts onto the delivery trucks. After the day's deliveries have been taken care of, the remainder of my day involves gathering online orders together that are to be picked up at the store by customers, labeling and staging them either at our Customer Service desk or deliveries cage. Secondary duties also include overseeing a smooth transition from the morning crew to the afternoon, making sure that they are updated with relevant information; as well as assisting customers with any questions they may have, where to find products they are looking for, and occasionally helping them to load oversized items into their vehicles. Since I am also certified with a lift operators license, I am also asked to help assist in bringing down heavy palletized items from the overhead shelves using a forklift. • Service Department Employee of the Month February 2024.• 1190 orders assembled• Average assembly time: 61 minutes

As a Senior Motion Designer, I continue to be responsible for creating interesting and dynamic motion for video and HTML5 banners through various means, including Adobe After Effects, Flash/Animate, and programmatic coding utilizing a combination of proprietary tools and GreenSock; as well as the added responsibility of leading on client projects and mentoring junior staff on developing polished client motion work up to Hook's standards.

Motion Designer

Ann Arbor, Mi

Animator responsible for creating interesting and dynamic motion for video and HTML5 banners through various means, including Adobe After Effects, Flash/Animate, and programmatic coding utilizing a combination of proprietary tools and GreenSock. As part of a small team, we are responsible for executing the vision of the client through multiple rounds of feedback, and ensuring the finished product is free of bugs and glitches before delivery.

Jan 2016 - Dec 2018

Junior Motion Designer

Ann Arbor, Mi

As a Junior Motion Designer, I was a member of a three person team responsible for creating dynamic and visually interesting animation to banner advertising. Such examples would include adding animation to the product or creating abstract motion media designs, revealing the copy/text in interesting ways, and making eye-catching rollovers for the banners' call-to-action (CTA) button. During this time, my team and I worked on campaigns for Google, Bacardi, Best Buy, Android, Toyota, and Zyrtec; Hotels.com's 2015 NBA and NHL Playoffs campaign, Target's Back to School campaign, and Workday. We primarily used Flash to create these banners, but also created a code scripting workflow with Green Sock after Chrome dropped its autoplay feature in September 2015, changing the industry landscape by requiring all banners to now be done in html.

Freelance Animator

Sound Max Live

I was recruited to help produce an animated short using characters created by Sound Max Live to be used as a pitch for a new television/web series called Bullyvard. Supplied with a one-page script and the recorded dialogue, my partner and I created storyboards and an animatic to be approved by the client before moving into production. Once the pre-production was approved, we spent the next several months creating 12 fully animated shots while also juggling commitments to other projects. The animation was finished in early May; the shots composited and edited together, and sent back to the client for final sound editing and music. My responsibilities on the project included storyboarding, creating the animatic, creating concrete model sheets of the new characters that were designed for the short, background painting, character animation/clean up in 11 of the 12 shots, all special effects such as snow fall and water effects, and compositing (including a multi-plane shot). The backgrounds were created in Photoshop, and imported into Toon Boom for animation and compositing. The shots were then stitched together in Premiere with minimal editing and transition effects.

Jul 2013 - May 2014

Freelance Animator

Twins Rock Media

I was hired on by Twins Rock Media to assist in creating their first iOS mobile game as the animation lead. Initially only contracted for 3 weeks to create the sprites that allowed the two playable characters to transition from one position to another, my role was later expanded to include four playable characters each with 12 individual moves, five non-playable characters, and creating special animated effects such as waving flags and spinning coins, in addition to also becoming the primary designer of the game after the original designer had to pull out. My primary duties as the animation lead was to create clean, readable movements for all 9 characters while also keeping my frame count low to prevent the game from using too much memory. When I was promoted to the game’s designer, my additional responsibilities included concept design for three new characters, and designing and creating the game’s menus, logo, menu buttons, game power-ups, background elements, and tutorials. My final task before the game launch was to create promotional materials that were used for the game’s App Store page and website.

Freelance Animator

Mentor, Oh Division

I was contacted by representatives of Avery Dennison to create an animated promotional video for them to take to the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to attract new clients in the video game manufacturing market. I met with members of the concept department, where they explained what they wanted to do, but weren't sure how to go about it. I was able to advise them on the most efficient way to make their ideas possible, and also helped them develop some new ideas on how to end the video. Over the next 11 weeks I designed the layouts and characters; completed the animation; synced the voice track to the characters; added animated effects; added sound effects and music; and composited the video together, all with weekly input from my Avery Dennison contacts. From there, Avery was able to mass produce the video on DVD and ship it to Los Angeles. I later learned that Avery Dennison was successful in attracting some new clients at the event with the help of my video.Avery Dennison was so impressed with my work that they asked me back in July 2012 to assist in a brain-storming conference where I acted as 1 of 3 Graphic Recorders, sketching ideas and the general conversation into a graphic designed mural that could be used later for reference.

Cage Monitor, Montgomery Hall

Savannah, Ga

As a work-study Cage Monitor for Montgomery Hall, I and two other students were responsible for maintaining the equipment in the Montgomery building for the classrooms, teachers, and students in the animation, visual effects, motion media, and video game departments. My primary responsibilities were ensuring that a student trying to rent the equipment was a member of one of the building's majors, that their equipment was in working order before they took it and wasn't damaged when they brought it back, that students knew how to use the equipment, and to balance scheduling multiple appointments to rent the equipment without causing overlap or conflicting reservations. In order to perform these tasks, I was required to have a working knowledge of the equipment, which included video and still cameras, tripods, lighting equipment, "Flags", microphones and booms, filters, editing equipment, a green screen and motion capture area, and an ADR booth.Secondary responsibilities included straitening up the building's classrooms to look presentable to campus visitors, and performing inventory when opening or closing the cage. I was also asked multiple times to provide assistance to the facilities manager in special projects around the building.

Buena Vista/Orlando, Fl

My time as a Deep Water Lifeguard at Walt Disney World was part of a 5 month college internship program. As a Deep Water Lifeguard, and the only student position at the parks that was constantly responsible for the safety and well being of the guests, I was required to undergo 24 hrs of ELISS aquatic safety training before even being allowed to work. This training included proper use of CPR techniques, what to do in case of a spinal injury, how to use the AED defibrillator machine, how to tend to lacerations, proper techniques to approach a distressed swimmer, quickly identifying trouble on the surface of the water and below it, and retrieving unconscious swimmers from the water.Secondary responsibilities included providing guests with information and entertainment when the park was in a rain delay, and helping guest in and out of inner tubes at several shallow water stations.Opening and Closing tasks included performing minor maintenance such as installing/uninstalling and emptying debris nets located in the current river, stacking/unstacking inner tubes and lounge chairs, and disinfecting various areas with diluted bleach.

Server Assistant At Olive Garden

Mentor, Oh

As a Server Assistant, I was responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of my designated area (approximately 16-18 tables) by performing multiple tasks simultaneously as quickly as possible.I was primarily tasked with removing any excess plates, silverware, glasses, serving bowls, napkins, and trash from the tables via trays (sometimes weighing up to 75 lbs) where they were placed in the trash bins or dishwashing station. I then returned to the table, where it was wiped down with a sanitized cloth, and reset with prepared silverware/napkin and wine glass. Most times this was required to be preformed within a few minutes.Secondary tasks included assisting servers with carrying multiple trays of hot food, taking finished dishes from servers to the kitchen so they could better attend their guests, occasionally delivering drinks/refills when that table's server was "in the weeds", restocking the basket of pre-rolled silverware and wine glass racks, and vacuuming the carpet with a motor-less roller vacuum.Closing tasks also included wiping down all the appliances and counters in the server station area with a sanitized cloth, and sweeping and mopping the tiled floors.
