During my PhD at the University of Bristol (UK) I had the opportunity to work in the group of Professor Andrew Orr-Ewing where I developed my skills in the field of molecular spectroscopy, laser optics, and environmental chemistry, working with diode lasers, nonlinear optical phenomena, and spanning a large range of techniques where optical resonators are used to enhance the optical path length. The techniques I used are: continuous wave cavity ring-down spectroscopy (cw-CRDS), off-axis cavity… Show more During my PhD at the University of Bristol (UK) I had the opportunity to work in the group of Professor Andrew Orr-Ewing where I developed my skills in the field of molecular spectroscopy, laser optics, and environmental chemistry, working with diode lasers, nonlinear optical phenomena, and spanning a large range of techniques where optical resonators are used to enhance the optical path length. The techniques I used are: continuous wave cavity ring-down spectroscopy (cw-CRDS), off-axis cavity enhanced absorption spectroscopy (OA-CEAS), multi pass absorption using astigmatic Herriot cell and White cell, chirped-pulse spectroscopy, wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) and phase shift-cavity ring-down spectroscopy (PS-CRDS). Moreover, during this period, I had the opportunity to develop some teaching skills by being a demonstrator during the course of Physical Chemistry Laboratory and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory for 2nd year undergraduate students, and to become a Science and Engineering Ambassador to take part to the Bristol ChemLabS Outreach project.
