Financial Analyst
CurrentApply principals of accounting and fiscal analysis to examine past & present financial transactions, prepare entries to accounts, estimate revenues & expenditures, prepare financial reports and perform other functions required to ensure the fiscal integrity of the County and/or individual departments and compliance with generally accepted accounting principals. -Responsible for submitting FSR's in a timely manner-Facilitates and coordinates with state auditors -Prepare & post journal entries-Maintain accounting records for grants-Prepare and submit biannual reports to REAC-Review and draw funds from HUD through IDIS-Communicate with other departments to ensure the completion of assigned tasks-Assist in the RFP process to procure necessary items for the department-Assist in preparing SEFA-Research topics in the Uniform Guidance-Research rules and regulations specific to grants through literature such as the CSPM-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports as required-Review and approve invoices-Cost analysis on a variety of items such as adding employees & projecting future expenses to ensure future grant sustainability-Interact regularly with elected county and city officials at board meetings-Prepare and present board reports to different governing bodies-Utilize macros, power pivot, and pivot tables to gain a unique understanding of general ledger activities.
