CurrentRob heads up Eversheds Sutherland’s International Energy & Infrastructure Group as well as firm’s Nuclear Energy Group. He leads on complex transactions for clients such as Chinese SOEs, Westinghouse, Shaw Group, Toshiba Corporation, Anglo American, Dow Chemical, Henderson Global Investors, Peabody Energy and Threadneedle Asset Management. His work includes leading on joint venture and consortium arrangements for international projects and the operational and regulatory arrangements relating to nuclear new build projects such as regulatory undertakings, fuel supply and transport and decommissioning arrangements. Recent transactions include acting for a Chinese SOE on its proposed investment in the £16 billion Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project in the UK, which is set to add 3.2GW to the energy mix once completed; a Hong Kong listed Asian investment fund on its bid for the acquisition of London City Airport, one of UK´s key transport infrastructure assets Shaw Group in its investment in the acquisition vehicle used by Toshiba on its acquisition of Westinghouse ($5.4bn). Rob is a member of the Climate Change Committee, International Nuclear Lawyers Association and the Nuclear Industry Association.
