I have two mantras by which I operate. Always do great work and be someone others would want to work with -- again. I’ve lived by these mantras throughout my career and they have never steered me wrong. I’ve worked in master planning and design within the entertainment industry for the past 19 years and throughout that time I’ve had the opportunity to follow these mantras to successfully lead, inform, and contribute to a variety of efforts related to land planning, concept design, regional planning, transportation planning, architectural visualization, site analysis, feasibility studies and programming on projects across the globe. But it’s my love of connecting to people and building collaborative teams and lasting relationships that I’m most passionate about. My current role as Senior Manager of Masterplanning requires not only a deep knowledge of land planning but also requires the ability to be positive, responsive, and effective in working with teams and the skill to build these lasting relationships that help teams function more efficiently and effectively. This is where my mantra of being someone others want to work with truly comes into play. I’m not all work and no play. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and my kids keep me connected to the fun side of myself. I love spending time with them, finding and listening to new music and traveling the world. And, because I want to feel like I’m having fun while also making a difference, I try to maintain a sense of humor and an easy-going demeanor even at work, where I’ve been told by my colleagues that I bring a positive attitude and sense of levity to things that they feel is important.
