R. Sean Fitzpatrick is a marine and environmental scientist, consultant, and entrepreneur. Since a 2017 hurricane made the climate crisis personal, Sean has switched his focus from direct marine conservation towards rapidly addressing the real root of climate change: the greenhouse gas concentration of our atmosphere. This action is enabled through carbon markets, a financially-driven model that incentivizes rapid emissions reductions today, while the green technologies and industries that will ultimately lead us into a low-carbon future are concurrently developed. Sean aspires to continue working towards his goal of growing and improving the state of carbon markets by eliminating barriers to market entry, spreading awareness that such opportunities exist today, and identifying the most current trends and technologies to simplify and enhance project operations while simultaneously growing an inclusive global network of projects, brokers, and buyers.
