In the role of Consultant Architect, I was involved in the production of Local Authority submission, Tender and Construction drawings for a number of schemes. Over the years, I worked in conjunction with the team on a large Multi-residential scheme in Angola, a new school hostel project in Johannesburg and the additions to an existing brewery in Gqeberha.

In the role of external examiner, I was part of a panel that reviewed and critiqued 3rd Year students' design portfolios and evaluated their work in relation to an expected standard.

As a tutor I spent one-on-one time with students, discussing, debating and ultimately nurturing their ideas into becoming buildings.

• As an architect at Activate I was involved in the conceptual design, detailed resolution and coordination as well as detailing of the following projects:
• Lebone II - College of the Royal Bafokeng – PhokengThis project received the 2011 SAPOA award for Innovation Excellence in Property in the categories of Social Development and New Transformation & a 2011 Loerie Award.
• SANRAL Head Office – PretoriaThis project received: a Green Building Council of South Africa 4 star design rating, the 2012 SAPOA award for Innovation Excellence in Property in the category of Office Developments, as.
• Sacred Heart College - Refurbishment of the Science Block - Johannesburg
• Elewana Tented Camp - Amboseli National Park, Kenya

While at Designing Ways I was responsible for reviewing architectural books and the odd interview, of which spending time with Italian architects Simone Micheli and Carlo Colombo and American architect Will Bruder were highlights.
