Corporate Sustainability – Environment, social and governance (ESG) due diligence and responsible investment > Responsible Investment: Conducted environmental, social and governance (ESG) due diligence reviews on private equity portfolios at the pre-acquisition stage. Provide analysis and report findings on a company’s ESG risks and opportunities including pollution, eco-efficiency, health and safety, anti-bribery and corruption measures, and human resource management. International Development – Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) > Technical assistance: Part of the country support team that implementedCDKN projects in the four priority African countries: Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya. This included budgeting and programme management, scope and procurement of country-level technical assistance and compiling quality assurance on all deliverables such as policy documents and project reports. > Knowledge management and research: Co-authored a research paper on the critical success factors for resilient water infrastructure focusing specifically on lessons learned from CDKN projects across Nepal, Mozambique and Colombia. This looked at issues such as stakeholder engagement, financing and climate risks. > Programme management: Worked closely with our NGO partner, SouthSouthNorth, in Cape Town, South Africa to ensure projects were delivered on time and hit key milestones and log frame targets that are required by DFID. > International Development programme strategy: Conducted a number of business development activities for programme design and set up on new international development programmes run by PwC. This includes financial and commercial modelling, organisational design, holding workshops with alliance partners and developing the overall programmatic approach.
