I was the ghostwriter behind 'Zero to 60', the life story of Tony Quinn, a self-made man who made his millions selling pet food before investing in his passion for motorsport. Tony built Highlands Motorsport Park in Central Otago in 2012 and bought Hampton Downs in 2015. As well as a circuit owner he's also a very successful driver in his own right as well as the category owner of the Australian GT Championship. 'Zero to 60' was launched in August 2016 and went straight to number one on the New Zealand Non-Fiction Bestseller's List, where it stayed until the former All Blacks captain, Richie McCaw released his book. Damn you Richie!I'm currently working on my next books, the first for a leading New Zealand construction company celebrating its 21st anniversary in 2018. The book is a celebration and historical record of the highs and lows of managing a fast growing, family run business. The second book is for one of New Zealand's most successful high-tech entrepreneurs and tells his rags to riches story.

I wrote a brand book that defined the brand values and I also worked on point of sale material. Writing original copy for the Unitec website and rewriting existing programme descriptions.Creating copy for two poster campaigns on Unitec campus. The posters promoted a Zero Waste policy and a new campus facility.Sub-editing complex academic articles into short, snappy easy-to-read stories.Rewriting award submissions.Liaising with Unitec staff and graphic designers to deliver copy that was consistent with Unitec’s tone of voice and brand.Writing a company mission statement and copy for a bid presentation by Geyser Creative.Writing a print advertisement for a major New Zealand winery.Writing a brand story and taglines for a label redesign by a wine company.

Since I started freelancing I've written about BASE jumpers and BMXers, DJs and drifters, motocross riders and mountain runners, businessmen and boxers, golfers and greenkeepers, musicians and magicians, artists and athletes, sidecar racers and swimmers, triathletes and tennis players, cyclists and Croatian folk dancers.My work has been published in: The Red Bulletin, ESPN.com, Sunday Star Times, Herald on Sunday, Metro Magazine, Sky Sports Magazine, Golf & Vacations Magazine Australia, The Cut, New Zealand Golf Magazine, Rugby World and Rugby News.From February 2015 - August 2018 I was a writer/sub-editor for Spot On Publications. I provided editorial support to the publisher of NZ Mountain Biker, NZ Road Cyclist and The Motor Caravanner magazines. My responsibilities include writing original content and sub-editing supplied copy.
