During my study ‘Engineering, Design and Innovation’ at the ‘Hogeschool van Amsterdam’ I was attracted to shipbuilding and the automotive industry. Therefore I looked for an internship in one of those industries and found one at Hydromar Marine Equipment. After the internship at Hydromar I graduated at Contest Yachts on a project for redesigning companion hatches for serval sailing yachts.After graduating Contest Yachts gave a job offer as engineer. I took the job at the engineering department and also started with a study ‘Business Administration’ at ‘NCOI Business School’.In April 2011 I was promoted to ‘senior technical engineer’ at Contest Yachts. Where I was responsible for all technical developments on our sailing and motor yachts, like electric, hydraulic, climate control, navigation and communication systems.In April 2020 I made an career move out of the marine industry to Ambaflex. At Ambaflex I was Project Manager on the Research and Development department. Because I was missing the marine industry, I decided to go back to Contest Yachts. At Contest Yachts I continued working as Senior Technical Engineer.
