I’m a UI/UX Designer with a creative and academic background. I care deeply about user experience and leverage my skills as a teacher and artist to design products that are well-informed and fun. Years spent teaching have helped me think deeply about the journey I am creating for my audience and how to continuously refine that as they pursue their goals. As a complementary skill, I have an artistic background in classical painting which lends a rich visual history and unique sensibility to how I create.Prior to UI/UX design, I was a teacher at the Latin School of Chicago. At Latin, I was offered a novel position based on my creativity and ability to work with young children. During my time there, ( 7 years) I helped pilot a new program for 4 yr olds and created an art curriculum that simplified working methods of masters into actionable steps for children. After Latin, I pursued my dream of studying classical painting at FAA (The Florence Academy of Art) in Jersey City. I attended FAA for 2 years and gained a rare skillset and way of thinking about painting and the visual language.I recently finished Career Foundry’s UI Immersion course and specialized in front-end coding. I am thrilled to find a career that amplifies the strengths of my past experiences and will allow me to invest to my full potential. I am eager to start new projects and solve problems in a functional and beautiful manner.
