Key achievements included:☛Designed, tested a new organic search result service to remove infringing search results from Google on copyright grounds.☛Designed the format of the Yaarak online audit reports, including providing prioritised infringements with suggested costed solutions for identified targets. This was very well received by the legal counsel for Snapchat.☛Over 200 fraudulent domain websites were shut down on behalf of clients including copycat websites of a multi-national law firms. -

I was engaged to set and manage Netnames’ online enforcement services for clients. I led a team of 2 Enforcement Analysts. Shut down 1k+ fraudulent/counterfeit websites for brands such as Zara, Superdry, Columbia Sports, Juicy Couture and Mammut.☛Recruited and managed Chinese analyst enforcement team and forged new relationships with various Registrars across the world, with a particular emphasis on Chinese providers. This improved website shutdown efficiencies (fastest website shutdown achieved in 20 minutes).☛Recovered numerous domain names through anonymous purchases and the WIPO/NAF domain complaint system.

Trade Marks AdviserBp Plc Sep 2006 - May 2010I managed the BP p.l.c. corporate trade mark and design portfolio which consists of approximately 30,000 registrations, and ensured global clearance, protection, licensing and enforcement for the BP Corporate marks. I also protected key brands via monitoring for third party infringements and instigating opposition proceedings across 10,000 active trade mark registrations. Key achievements included:☛Designed, planned and instructed a major trade mark refiling programme for the most valuable of BP’s assets the BP Helios across 100 countries with full budgetary accountability.☛Achieved external spend savings of 26% by using a combination of online Cost Calculator (Brandstock) and strong negotiation with external agents in respect of fees & official costs.☛Successfully recovered numerous opportunistic domain name registrations from cybersquatters ICANN UDRP domain complaint mechanisms and via anonymous purchases. Successfully shutdown over 100 fraudulent domain registrations and liaised with both UK and US law enforcement.
