At my core I am an engineer that enjoys building technology and organizations that solve difficult real-world problems.At Toyon, I lead an amazing team of engineers within the Autonomous Systems business unit. Together we are tackling multiple AI/ML R&D projects to help push the envelope in unmanned systems autonomy for a variety of DoD customers and missions. My larger research interests include data fusion, reinforcement learning, decentralized control, swarming, and electronic warfare.Years ago I co-founded ResQ Medical - a smartphone-based automation startup in the medical education space. Today, the ResQ app is actively used by thousands of resident physicians in dozens of teaching hospitals across the US.Most recently I founded the Kinsley Adelynn Foundation in honor of my daughter - who valiantly fought brain cancer for the last five years of her life. The foundation raises awareness, funds research into rare pediatric brain cancers, and delivers grants to pediatric cancer warriors and their families to help alleviate the burdens of fighting cancer.
