Designed and conducted in vitro / in vivo studies needed for absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion projects supporting preclinical development of metabolic and infectious disease programs. Provided pharmacokinetic/toxicokinetic support for preclinical toxicology studies. Experienced with liver microsomes, liver slices, cDNA expressed human cytochrome P450 and UGT microsomes and hepatocytes — studied enzyme phenotyping and induction, identified P450 inhibition potential and drug-drug interactions and conducted comparative metabolism studies to aid in the development of lead compounds. Proficient in HPLC method development. Also prior experience in hypertensive research in cardiovascular pharmacology.

Worked in Nephrology Research conducting acute and chronic animal renal experiments from surgical anesthesia and manipulation to sample and data analysis and report writing. Medical Technologist duties included analyzing creatinine clearance samples from clinical renal dialysis patients and performing immunofluorescence staining of patient renal and skin biopsies.
