Assess Wounded, Ill and Injured (WII)Soldiers in Recovery (SR) for suicide risk, and other behavioral health related symptoms. Work closely with behavioral health providers to ensure effective care provided for each SR and help them reach their recovery goals. Serve as the behavioral health subject matter expert as a member of the Soldier Recovery Unit interdisciplinary team. Provide SR progress updates for Command (C2) and Medical (M2) teammates. Facilitate and provide teammates, and SR cadre, multiple trainings throughout the year focused on recovery and enhancing mental health education and resilience.

Provided short-term, solution-focused, evidence-based clinical social work services to individuals, couples and families. Utilized CBT, CBT-I, EMDR, supportive psychotherapy, and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy model. Treated individuals struggling with symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression including a variety of adjustment disorders. Supervised graduate school level social workers guiding them toward independent licensure.

While at The National Intrepid Center of Excellence, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, I provided individual and family therapy, for their Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Working amongst an interdisciplinary team of neurologists, general practitioners (medical doctors), neuro-psychologists, health psychologists, audiologists, nurse case managers, and art therapists, we provided care to active duty service members, and their family members, utilizing brief solution focused therapy. In addition to this role, I assisted with the intake process, pairing with a TBI physician assistance. -Managed 35 clients providing psychosocial assessments and maintained an average of 25 client contact services per week-Planned and lead weekly educational groups for 6 clients in the Lansdowne Therapeutic After School Program
