I started working on construction disputes at a leading construction consultancy specialising in delay and disruption claims and with significant involvement in international infrastructure projects. I now spend most of my time providing detailed strategic advice on dispute avoidance and dispute management in relation to large and complex infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally. I regularly sit as both Arbitrator and adjudicator in a variety of construction and construction related cases and bring those skills "from the other side of the table" to advise clients on likely outcomes and strategies to improve success rates.I have been involved in a wide range of projects including housing, commercial and light industrial, road, rail, tunneling, metro systems, hospitals (both PFI and traditional), office and retail fit out, new build and redevelopment of office buildings, ground remediation, oil and gas pipelines, EPC power and water facilities, solar, wind and other renewables projects etc.I have been involved with international disputes covering, amongst others: Scotland, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Bahrain, Singapore, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Oman, Bulgaria, UAE, Hungary, Isle of Man, Jersey and Georgia. I am a Chartered Arbitrator and adjudicator listed on the Rosta of International Arbitrators, a Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies and worked closely with the RICS on arbitration and adjudication training and accreditation for 7 years.
