What made this internship memorable was going in to work doing something new everyday.Under the guidance of my mentors, I assisted in the assembly of a test stand for the main reduction gears of an aircraft carrier by routing cables, making wire-spliced connections, and configuring our data acquisition system. By the end of it, I managed to significantly improved user interface of data acquisition system by reprogramming and consolidating multiple MATLAB codes under one easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) streamlining the ability to analyze real time test data.It was an absolute blast being thrown into something new on a daily basis and working with my team.

After 3 years volunteering for the Engineering Ambassador Program, I became a coordinator for the program, where I develop hands-on workshops designed to teach the fundamentals of engineering to K-12 students, while organizing and preparing volunteers to lead these workshops.Being a program coordinator was a great opportunity to play a role in developing the understanding of engineering for younger students, along with putting my leadership abilities to the test.
