Managing the GSA trade relationships in South Africa for the United Airlines & Air Canada brands

I am responsible for achieving profitable sales revenue for Etihad Airways (POS ZA) through a portfolio of clients within the 'Corporate' and 'Travel Management Company' (TMC) environment.I passionately promote the Etihad brand, it's world class products and superior services through the available distribution channels, and I am responsible for negotiating and managing commercial agreements within top national accounts.

I was responsible for the smooth running of the marketing department for the British Airways and kulula.com brands under the 'Comair' portfolio, reporting to the marketing manager.I was responsible for sponsorship evaluations, trade exchange negotiation and CI management.I prepared and managed marketing events within the travel trade environment and press functions, and was significantly involved in market research capture and analysis, amongst both the BA Comair and kulula customers.As a 'Marketing Executive', I evaluated and kept the brand identity consistent amongst the interactive points of contact for all passenger ' touch points' within the major airports that Comair operated between in South Africa.

I was responsible for leading a team within the kulula.com contact centre, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, whilst encouraging and supporting a team in achieving challenging targets in converting enquiries into sales.My responsibilities included ensuring a smooth team dynamic, to offer unique, efficient customer service whilst dealing with conflict situations in a proactive and positive manner, and generating target driven sales.Additional responsibilities included general team leadership administration and support.
