 - Key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, that was responsible for designing and delivering infrastructure to establish Blockbuster’s multi-channel digital business supporting movie rentals and purchases with streaming and download delivery. Architect Designed and implemented frameworks that were responsible for device type management that included digital rights, device and content compatibility, device capabilities and user interface that allowed non-technical resources to manage hundreds of ever changing devices. Also designed and implemented a rules based merchandising-discount-offers framework and UI that was responsible for targeted merchandising-discounts-offers to any individual, family or combination of devices. Designed multiple feeds and batch processes that kept the catalog in sync between vendors and refreshed the catalog search capability as well as migrating the customer base between systems.Technical Program Manager and Scrum Master Coordinated/managed 45 resources from multiple development suppliers both offshore and onshore to deliver 10 sprints in support of Consumer Electronics, Mobile, Facebook and Browser based Applications. Implemented a modified Agile/Scrum cycle that delivered projects on a six week cycle with each sprint comprising 2500 hours of development while utilizing agile tools and techniques with integration points into traditional waterfall model to ensure continuous delivery by monitoring daily technical progress, removing obstacles, identify risks and issues to schedule and overall program. Implemented defect and backlog tracking system and processes across all business and IT teams. Responsible for Offshore Delivery Optimization, coaching, conflict resolution, career development, organizing and facilitating regular scrum meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint and release planning sessions and demos.

Project Lead and Technical Advisor Architected and built SOA framework that enabled client to adhere to ACORD standards while transitioning numerous acquired systems to CSC’s POINT IN packaged software. Worked on multiple projects based in the insurance space that included claims, monthly reporting on policies and renewal, and support of application and framework that was purchased from Hermitage.

Application Architect and DeveloperDesigned and built, along with a team of 4 other highly qualified technical resources, a full functional system from the ground up that was responsible for automating the full policy creation, renewal, underwriter workflow, and inspection process. The end goal was to modernize the entire office, remove paper processing and retention, and reduce the submission life cycle so the company could write more policies accurately and still maintain low risk. Designed, coded and implemented frameworks and functionality for automated policy quoting, stat coding, occupancy group and type, endorsement, renewals, cloning, state addition and documentation chronology viewing which included notes, attachments, emails and drag and drop functionality. Also designed, coded and implemented a one step process for the Operations team to compile, backup current code and distribute the application to any environment.

Technical Lead in Configuration Management, including process definition, resource training, documentation, and developing and managing a complex schedule of releases, deployments, and implementation. IT liaison for the Government division (vetted through the Government approval process), including requirements and financial analysis, determining scope and scale of projects, and presenting projects to large executive groups for approval. Software Engineer recognized with multiple On The Spot and Excellence awards for demonstrating strength in problem analysis, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Began as an unloader and equipment driver, and after two years enrolled in (then) Southwest Texas State University. While attending college full time (and graduating in 4 years), was promoted from unloader to QA supervisor to Manager responsible for 75 associates. Required to work 52 hours a week, responsible for all interviewing, hiring and firing for my dock.
