Robin Peck was born in Alberta, Canada in 1950. He received an MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and has taught at various schools including NSCAD in Halifax and ECCAD in Vancouver, British Columbia. Recent solo exhibitions include, Canada, NYC (2015), Diaz Contemporary, Toronto (2010) and the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver (2007). Group exhibitions include Around Flat, Knockdown Center, New York City (2016), I Am Not An Answer, Cooper-Cole Gallery, Toronto (2016), Enacting Abstraction, Vancouver Art Gallery (2009), Free Soil, Canada, NYC (2011) and Material World, AGNS (2012). "A sculpture that is not only visual, but an art of materials. Beneath the surface are circumferential layers of formed material. These can be re-imagined through variations in the final form, color and weight.
