Reading Tutor: Orton-Gillingham Certified, Hochman Trained. Opening up the worlds of words, books and language to kids who have been shut out of them brings me more joy than anything I have done in my career. So, after many years of volunteer tutoring during my career as a marketing executive, I got my certification in Orton-Gillingham (O-G). I help kids who just need some support and those with diagnosable learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. As a speaker of French and Spanish, I understand what it takes to learn a language that doesn't come naturally. My kids' successes and growing self-esteem are confirmed by teachers, parents, assessments and, most importantly, by the smiles on my students' faces. What could be better?
