Bedrock Detroit is Dan Gilbert's full-service real estate firm specializing in acquiring, leasing, financing, developing and managing commercial and residential space. As the company's first-ever PR Director, I led more than 50 announcements including the arrival of some of Bedrock's biggest retail and office tenants from John Varvatos to Fortune 500 companies Fifth Third Bank and Ally, and some of the most significant building acquisitions in company history including the former Compuware Building (One Campus Martius), One Detroit Center, Book Tower, the David Stott Building, and The Avenue Shops in Cleveland, as well as the sale of 119 State Street to Lear.Our team's PR strategies and efforts resulted in more than 3,000 media mentions locally, nationally and internationally between 2014 and 2015 with an estimated ad value of $2.6 million. We also grew our social media following by more than 7,000+ organically with minimal paid ads.Other responsibilities included: developing an all-encompassing communications strategy, writing press releases and statements, developing and generating creative ideas for blog posts and other online content, drafting all-company emails and other communications, organizing press conferences, grand openings and media events, pitching stories to reporters, preparing talking points and coaching top executives and team members for media interviews and public speaking engagements, coordinating interviews, video production, assisting tenants of all sizes with major press announcements, internal announcements and communications, updating web content, writing, overseeing Bedrock's various social media channels, public speaking and appearing as an on-camera spokesperson.

8-time Emmy award winning reporter at Fox 2 News covering everything from breaking news to human interest news features including my personal struggle with infertility. I was on the scene of nearly every major news event in Detroit from 1998-2014 from Kwame to Kevorkian, Detroit's bankruptcy, 9/11, the blackout of 2003, the Steven Grant murder case, the 6th precinct police shooting, the death of Detroit Firefighter Walter Harris, the disappearance of the Skelton brothers in Morenci, flooding, tornadoes, the search for Jimmy Hoffa, the arrest of the "underwear bomber," GM ignition switch recalls, the funeral of Civil Rights pioneer Rosa Parks, and everything in between. I also launched and helped build the FOXe franchise, a sponsored weekly news segment highlighting green, environmental initiatives across metro Detroit. In 2012, I received a Global Energy Achievement award from our parent company, NewsCorp, for individual efforts to inspire change within [our] community. For eight years, I also anchored Saturday and Sunday 6pm and 10pm hour-long newscasts side by side with my co-anchor, the late Ron Savage. In addition, I served as a web producer, writing and posting online content on myfoxdetroit.com. Other duties included public speaking and emceeing events, mentoring, and working with interns and aspiring broadcast journalists.

I honed my on-air skills as a TV news reporter at the ABC affiliate in New York's capital city, covering everything from breaking news to feature stories, politics, crime, court cases, thoroughbred horse racing and more. From there, I moved to the anchor desk, anchoring weekend evening newscasts and then the station's 2-hour morning show for 2 years. I also produced special reports on topics including teen criminals where I visited maximum security prisons and interviewed teenagers convicted of violent crimes. At WTEN, I also developed trusted sources including one who helped me break the story of a suspect in the Christmas Eve package bombing of a family in Clifton Park, NY. I reported that Christopher Gilson, a man who took his own life several days after the bombing, plotted the attack as an act of revenge for being fired from a high paying job. My story aired several days before the official police announcement.

I began my broadcasting career as a radio news anchor/reporter covering the city of Amsterdam, NY and surrounding communities. I was half of the entire news team at this small ABC radio affiliate. I got my start here covering city council meetings, the county board of supervisors, school board meetings, a mayoral election, and the first breaking news stories of my career.
