Skills & Learning Senior Consultant
OutlineMy role was to work with Scottish Water’s (SW) Transformation workstreams to develop strategies and skills interventions to build the skills they need now and in the future. As a senior consultant, I worked alongside the wider Learning, Talent and Resourcing Team to drive forward their skills, leadership and transformation agendas. Key Responsibilities• Take lead on Agile skills within SW and to analyse and develop Skills Strategies to increase business agility and promote an agile mindset within the organisation’s employees• Advise key customers in SW to look at the most effective Skills Strategies, whether that is to buy, borrow, build, retain or release skills• Develop skills interventions using a 70-10-10 learning approach in the areas of: Lean and Agile frameworks; business agility; data analysis and business insightsKey Achievements• Formed an Agile Learning Design Group – a cross-functional team that now advises SW’s Agility Lead on agile skills and learning requirements• Created learning interventions for: Agile frameworks e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Kanban; data analysis and business insights• Liaised with internal and external suppliers in the creation of: accredited Agile training; creation of SW’s ‘Agile Foundations’ i.e. fundamentals of business agility; Lean belt training• Co-created SW’s new learning evaluation methodology for all employees• Initial 8-month contract extended twice by a further 7-months
