During my externship I was able to gain clinical experience and effectively assumed increasing responsibilities. Specifically I am well trained in: HIPAA, patient confidentiality, verifying and recording health history, collecting specimen, changing dressings, preparing instruments and supplies, and providing basic patient care in as outlined in my Scope of Practice. I was also responsible for rooming patients, vital signs, CLIA waved testing, injections, cleaning rooms after visits, medication safety, and EHR (EPIC) trained.
