In this role I am part of the maths and stats lab team based at the Durham Centre for academic development. I provide bespoke statistics support to students of all abilities. This includes questions and issues around software, the correct (or alternative) statistical approaches and research design. I provide support over email, zoom and teams and in person (where appropriate).

For the last 3 years I have been providing teaching assistance for a first year statistics module in the Anthropology department, introducing R and statistics to students. As part of this role, I provide software help, answer questions and also provide feedback and suggestions to the module leader about how the module might be improved. This has been delivered both in person and online.

In this role I acted as an on call tutor for an R course offered by the Durham research methods centre. Students completed the course in their own time and I was available online during set times to answer questions and provide information for further resources to expand their skills.

In this role, I was part of the Public health England behavioural insights team. My primary responsibility was undertaking statistical analysis on various behavioural science projects and managing the relevant data. This included a project surrounding the COVID-19 guidance. As well as manging the analysis, I was also involved with the writing of the articles, many of which have now reached publication. Besides this, I took part in meetings discussing behavioural science strategies surrounding the COVID-19 response and provided assistance to members of the team for a variety of other smaller tasks.
