Previously as a Child Welfare Professional, I provided foster care, adoption, and licensing services to children and families in Michigan. I have over seven years of experience in this field and hold a Child Welfare Certificate (CWC) and a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification. My core competencies include conducting thorough assessments and inspections of foster homes and agencies, providing guidance and training to foster parents and staff, maintaining accurate records and documentation, investigating and resolving licensing issues, and guiding prospective adoptive parents through the adoption process. I also co-chaired the Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Services Workgroup for two years, where I collaborated with local organizations and foster parents to increase and retain licensed family foster homes. I am passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care and supporting their families through effective case management, advocacy, and best practices.
