Member of a statewide Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor focused on providing intensive re-employment assistance to individuals who are receiving unemployment benefits.• Interview, classify, and register individuals for work.• Place individuals in suitable employment or facilitate re-employment through skills assessment and evaluation.• Assist job seekers in determining career goals. • Determine eligibility of job seekers for appropriate educational, training programs that meet individual vocational goals and employer labor market needs. • Assess job applicant's employability and assists in appropriate referrals to counselors for services. • Establish eligibility and prepare documentation required in special federal and state programs as well as other programs to help applicants obtain employment.• Interview unemployment compensation claimants and completes forms necessary to establish a claim for benefits. • Interview, assess, and evaluate individual aptitudes, abilities, interests, work experiences, education, personality characteristics and degrees of physical, social, emotional limitations of RESEA participants to identify individual service needs, strength, and barriers.• Develop and implement an Employability Plan for each RESEA participant and provide subsequent counseling to resolve employment barriers.• Plan and conduct orientations to inform RESEA participants of program benefits and responsibilities. • Document and maintain case notes and individual care records to track progress and comply with state federal regulations and policies.• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, service providers, educational institutions, and community organizations to coordinator services to clients, develop employment opportunities, maximize available resources, and promote community understanding.
