Originally employed to help set up the London office, I advised on strategy, launch advertising and PR campaigns for an IPO. In nine months the company went from a privately owned business to a FTSE 100 company. As Head of Copy and then Head of Offline Creative I was responsible for the strategic development, creation and implementation of PartyPoker’s advertising campaigns in the USA, and for launching the brand in the UK and across Europe. I worked with external and internal creative teams to:• Conceive, write and produce over 100 TV commercials and sponsorship bumpers • Write and produce radio commercials for specific sponsorship and syndicated radio shows in the USA • Write and sign off launch print campaigns and hundreds of bespoke ads in 11 languages and 15 countries• Develop and present new advertising concepts• Ensure campaigns followed individual legal guidelines in different territories• Write and edit email newsletters, website copy and banner ads• Produce PartyGaming’s first annual report• Edit and design internal news magazine and customer magazine • Produce initial brand and style guidelines

After a stint as a Daily Mirror feature writer, including covering the recording of Band Aid from inside the studio, I freelanced for national and international newspapers and magazines including The Sunday Times, Esquire, You Magazine, Marie Claire, the Times, the Daily Mail, Us magazine, Cosmopolitan, the Face, Time Out, the New Musical Express, the Observer, the Word, the Sunday Mirror Magazine, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller, Paris Match, Focus, the Age, New Idea and Rolling Stone. I interviewed many of the leading figures in popular culture, movements and innovations and was an early spotter, adopter and commentator on many social and commercial trends.Books:I have written 10 books on everything from fitness, adventure sports and Chinook helicopters to sixties sex gods.
