I coordinate department wide efforts related to public health and climate change for the California Department of Public Health.

I coordinated seven “faculty clusters” at the Othering & Belonging Institute. Each cluster is focused on a different theme related to diversity and include experts who are leaders in their fields. These clusters address society’s most pressing and pivotal issues related to vulnerable and marginalized populations. I am regularly inspired by their work. I'm a fast, well-organized, and thorough research analyst with expertise in health disparities and healthcare delivery. I use my training in qualitative and quantitative research to provide high-quality deliverables.Recent projects include: (1) Literature review about the effects of policing on racial health disparities; (2) hospital performance measures database for healthcare labor union; (3) Online management training for managers in the nonprofit sector.

I coordinated and conducted research projects about policing and social determinants of health for members of the Haas Institute for a Fair & Inclusive Society and supported research for Dr. Osagie K. Obasogie about the way race is defined in public health literature.

I conducted research for Dr. Meredith Minkler at the intersection of community organizing and public health.

I worked inside Kaiser's Regional Offices in the Quality Operations & Support department. My projects focused on improving health care service delivery and patient experience within supportive care services and head and neck cancer outcomes.

I delivered training and technical assistance to HIV Prevention programs and other CDC-funded community based organizations and health departments across the United States and its territories. At Capacity for Health, I specialized in organizational development and program implementation specific to public health interventions. I also managed the development of case studies and other program materials. I presented at the United States Conference on AIDS in 2014 and 2015.

FGCA supports Hagar's House, a home for women, transgender persons, and children. The Board of Directors supports fund development through individual gifts and special events to ensure a financially sustainable future that does not rely on federal grants or corporate gifts. Since 2011, we have organized "Women Performing for Women" - a fun evening of music, community, and a silent auction - and raised close to $40,000.

I managed a large-scale, multi-location HIV Counseling & Testing program targeting at-risk populations. I supervised three full time staff and many volunteer counselors. Our program provided close to 4,000 HIV tests and regularly exceeded the state and CDC required HIV positivity rate of 2.0%.Presented at the National HIV Prevention Conference 2011Participated in CDC Advisory Board

I supported the launch of a new client services program that provided substance abuse treatment services for HIV-positive people. I developed the outreach strategy, monitored outreach impact, and created all promotional materials. In addition, I facilitated a 12-week educational support group for HIV+ men, women, and transgender persons. As an HIV counselor and educator, I tested people for HIV in English and Spanish and conducted HIV and Hepatitis C education seminars.

I worked with a diverse group of health service providers and advocates to ensure the HIV/AIDS needs of the Louisiana Latino community were met. I organized National Latino AIDS Awareness Day events 2009 - 2012 and strengthened my leadership skills at the Latino Mentoring Training Institute (Office of Minority Health, Washington D.C.).

I prepared high school students for the ACT college entrance exam through group courses and individual tutoring. I also marketed Princeton Review courses through presentations to prospective students and parents at libraries and schools.

As a paralegal at a small firm specializing in domestic, collection, and estate law, I drafted documents, managed a series of accounts, and assisted the attorney in court.

At Kent State, I coordinated a volunteer team of 4 responsible for on-campus events and media campaigns on the college campus. I supported the development of organized student groups to create a large volunteer base, grow support for the campaign, and increase voter turnout . On Election Day, my team and I orchestrated an event that reached over 13,000 students and led to a Democratic win in Portage County.
