About Robin Freeth
There is a wonderful intersection between sales, marketing and leadership... it's a place where brand meets culture and where the magic begins - this is where I play. For many years I've believed that sales isn't a dirty word and that marketing shouldn't be un-needingly complex using lots of jargon which only serves to confuse people. So to put it simply; marketing creates leads and sales closes them whilst leadership creates the right environment for brand (your promise) and culture (your delivery) to align. The power of an idea can change anything from the most simplistic process to a generation. I now call Adelaide home and along with some other crazy volunteers work tirelessly on TEDxAdelaide.I’ve worn many hats, suits, ‘smart-casual’ (whatever that is!) and jeans in my career from working in IT, dot.com, telco and banking, the one common thing is the customer is central to everything.Actually doing things has taught me that my value is centred on;- The customer’s view is everything, understanding how to guide and educate this is therefore pivotal- Leadership casts a long shadow and leadership skills can be taught- Sales is not a dirty word, it’s just how you help your customers- Great businesses require great processes- Measure the right things in business to create the right behaviours, inputs = outputs- I run towards challenges- I like to think big- I like to have fun whilst getting things done- Volunteering teaches us more about who we areI love meeting new people to understand about their business and their customers and preferably drinking great coffee at the same time! I'd love to buy you a coffee and talk more about you and how you what you do...Specialities: Customer experience, customer satisfaction, marketing, director, sales, sales management, sales leadership, training, mentoring, coaching, leadership, B2B, B2C, real estate, retail finance, telco, team-building, strategy, TEDx, TED, TEDxAdelaide
Listed skills include Management, Strategy, Leadership, Business Strategy, and 46 others.

Speaker, Mentor And Facilitator
Having worked in corporate life for many years and with a desire to contribute more to the local business community, I’ve taken the bold step to start my own practice specialising in helping my clients achieve more with their clients through great sales and service, creating alignment between the brand promise and the cultural delivery of the customer facing teams. Sales and service is forever changing and no more so in the past 2 to 3 years with the advent of an instantly available and pervasive Internet where it's possible within a few clicks to find the best price, latest reviews, availability, competitive products and so.I achieve this with my clients through a mixture of workshop and facilitated sessions, coaching and mentoring to lift both the soft and hard skills of being 'customer centric' to align within my clients overall proposition i.e. their clients expectations.
Regional Director
As an engaged and advocate for South Australian businesses I understand the need for companies to grow. Often the catch is the capability and experience required to accelerate an ambitious growth plan is out of reach or just not practicable. The Marketing Director Centre provides high level sales and marketing expertise on a part time basis, engaging with clients in three different capacities;- As a regular part time employee working in our clients business- As a strategic partner on a project basis- As someone who can stress test your current sales and marketing plan to ensure it exceeds the markWe're building a team of talented individuals here in Adelaide and if you're interested to learn more, please connect and let's talk more!

Regional Manager
Having achieved so much with Vodafone, I needed a change and to move into a similar market so choose Westpac and Retail Banking. On the surface the linkages are not immediately apparent, however, leadership is about the people, customers are still customers and great conversations are great conversations!!Lead 20 branches in the CBD, Southern metro and regional area with 20 direct reports and approximately 200 in the wider team, including Branch Managers, Business Service Reps, Customer Service Reps and tellers.Accountable for all customer satisfaction, sales achievements, recruitment and compliance within the Region.I implemented a number of key and innovative initiatives focused at increasing the skill levels of the team, specially with their conversation they were having with their customers, doubling the number of quality conversations which in turn had a 65% increase in the key products per customer metric.Pleasingly, I achieved a Personal Leadership Index score of 87 against a nationwide average of 75.
State Sales Manager
Held multiple roles with Vodafone, starting with them in England then migrated myself, the family and my position to Adelaide. At the time Vodafone was an amazing place to be a part of, globally the company had over 60k employees and a turnover of twice Microsoft. The Australian business was run as a true Values Based Organisation which when combined with a disruptive brand made anything possible. My last position with Vodafone was State Sales Manager, leading the state sales team influencing over 200 people selling Vodafone products and services for business and retail.I ensured the teams exceed their growth, retention and usage targets through coaching, mentoring, development plans and team building activities.- Over doubled the SA customer base in 2 years- Architected Vodafone SA's rapid distribution growth from 4 branded stores to 15 and 70 non-branded to 500.- Developed a new Business Channel delivering over 30% of the national budget from SA, the model was then adopted nationally.- Formed part of the state and national leadership teams.
