Research and development of products for nursing students designed to enhance learning of nursing topics. My specialty is adult medical surgical nursing although I am also involved in other areas as well. I work with both the PN and RN levels of nursing student curricula.

The Nursing Organizations Alliance is a collaborative community of professional nursing organizations designed to address common interests and provide a forum for nurse leaders to share information and best practices. The Alliance provides leadership educational opportunities including the Nurse in Washington Internship and the Nursling Alliance Leadership.

I have the honor of serving as the Immediate Past President of the only professional organization dedicated to the specialty of medical-Surgical nurses. The organization has more than 13,000 active members.

Med-Surg Nurse Life Magazine is the premier magazine for medical-surgical nurses. Designed as a lifestyle magazine, it provides interviews, product reviews, editorials on current topics of interest to medical-surgical nurses, industry trends, and first-person stories. It is enjoyed by AMSN members and published bi-monthly.

I serve as Secretary on the Board of Directors for AMSN, a professional nursing organization. Through its work, AMSN strives to improve patient care, assist members in developing both personally and professionally, and connecting with other nurses who share their compassion and commitment while advocating for the specialty of medical-surgical nursing.

Addressed adult health care issues in the legislative arena. Advocated for legislation that supported health care issues for the medical-surgical nurse and the public at large. Wrote a variety of articles for publication and the website. Answered legislative questions from members. The overall goal of the committee is to increase medical-surgical nurses'.
