Currently finance and organisation officer at the youth department of the German Trade Union Confederation in Düsseldorf/NRW. Among other things, I am responsible for the financial planing and accounting of the districts’ youth department, for the annual planning of activities and youth events and for the representation of the trade union youth toward government authorities. Beforehand I worked as youth officer at the regional office of the DGB in Rostock.Being politically and socially engaged since my youth, I have been interested in international politics from an early age. During internships at the Institute for Codetermination for Corporate Management and at the executive board of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD), I was able to prove my communication skills and gain first-hand experience on the German and European political stage. My tasks included the preparation and follow-up of events, the analysis of current legislative initiatives and the contribution to publications.As an enthusiastic voluntary local politician, I gained a wide range of skills in organizing campaigns, communicating via (social) media and successfully leading teams. Thus, I am experienced in using tools like Google Analytics, Wordpress and Adobe Photoshop/Premiere. Having received a scholarship from the Hans-Böckler-Foundation, I had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of non-academic courses and to attend a world-class university education in Bochum and London.
