They want to reach out and support others who find themselves in a nightmare where they feel that no one can truly understand.

NRJN was a youth led Restorative Justice project working with young people affected by Guns, Gangs, Knives & Street Crime. NRJN works with young people who had offended, been victimised, witnesses & those otherwise affected by such issues. The project engaged the young people (aged 13-25) & their friends & families through 1:1 or group sessions and a programme of positive activities. NRJN provided opportunities for offenders, victims and all other members of the community affected by youth & street crime to repair the damage caused. London Action Trust provided services across London & the South East in a variety of settings (schools, colleges, youth centres, YOIs, Prisons, on Estates & elsewhere in the community). All the projects seek to break the cycle of offending & re-offending. Robin provided LAT with Youth Work project management & delivery services. Robin wrote and delivered the highly successful RESOLVE programme for LAT in 9 London Boroughs (funded by London Councils).

Robin formed LUV Productions to work with Young People who expressed an interest in pursuing careers in the music industry. LUV Productions offered training courses for many such young people from throughout London. Their training courses followed a model that Robin developed revolving around the creation of a ‘virtual record label’ that the participants are part of. During the course, they recorded tracks, took photos and videos, designed posters / flyers, held live events and released professional quality CDs. This structure allowed for Young People to develop their skills in a wide variety of areas (including musical skills, art / design skills, marketing and promotion skills / management / accountancy and many other skills). As they actually manufactured CDs and held events that the participants organised themselves, LUV Productions offered real hands-on practical experience of business enterprise to the young participants. Through this structure Robin managed to secure young people worldwide exposure through international Satellite TV, Press and tours and several young artists progressed to become recognised in the record industry. LUV Productions offered highly successful courses throughout London at youth clubs, community centres and through their own outreach work at their own recording studio in London, E5 as well as in conjunction with organisations such as Tower Hamlets Summer University, Community Links in Newham, Fishing Rod Experience, Tower Hamlets College.

Robin managed the award winning, youth led E13 Mix Centre in Plaistow, East London. The centre's development was overseen by a panel of young people who helped raise the finances to build the centre, advised the architect on the design and went on to oversee a wide range of Youth Activities. The Centre won an award for its design and Robin went on to win an award at the Houses Of Parliament in 2008 for best Youth & Community Engagement and Community Participation project. In 2009 UK Youth also recognised that the full participation of the young people in planning the centre's activities was a model of best practice.

London Borough Of Tower Hamlets

Robin was responsible for engaging with existing local community groups and for supporting the establishment of new groups in the Whitechapel, Aldgate and Brick Lane areas of Tower Hamlets. Robin worked on the SRB5 funding programme to enable groups to establish sustainable community activities. Robin's primary areas of focus were Arts & Youth programmes.He was actively involved in the regeneration of the Brick Lane area - ("Bangla Town") and the Rich Mix Centre.
