Robin Mullins has more than 20 years of non-profit arts leadership, artist and audience development, event management and fiscal accountability experience. Bringing those experiences into executive assistant roles was a natural transition, supporting a City Councilwoman in Portland, OR as Executive Assistant and Cultural Policy Advisor, UCSD’s Center for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion, and now the Dean at the UCI School of Education. Effortlessly managing complex calendars, travel and day-to-day operations with an eye for details and a commitment to excellence. Selected in 2013 to participate in WESTAF's Emerging Leaders of Color Institute, she continues to bring a strong commitment to equity and inclusion to every role. As a Client Services Specialist for WMFDP she ensured the global network of facilitators, clients and properties all had what they needed to execute a variety of programs focused on D&I, unconscious bias, privilege and systemic advantage.In her role as Executive Director for Arts Northwest. Mullins worked to cultivate, retain and increase membership while executing an annual week-long conference for the membership base of arts presenters, performing artists, agents and associated organizations and individuals. As Managing Director for Portland Taiko (PT), she was responsible for overseeing all administrative and financial operations for the organization. Before joining PT, she served as the Membership Services and Communications Manager for the Western Arts Alliance where she handled membership recruitment and retention, working closely with performing arts presenters, artist managers and agents throughout the Western states. Prior to that, Mullins was the Director of Audience Services for White Bird, directing all audience interaction, enhancing patron experiences and increasing support for the organization. Her extensive career in the arts also includes work to support organizations focused on the art forms of Opera, Ballet, Dance, Chamber Music, Symphony and Music of all genres. Mullins began her love affair in the arts as a Publicist, Account Executive and Production Manager for independent music labels. This experience culminated in her founding a company to provide independent promotion, artist development, consultation and event planning.
