After 10 years of experience with marketing as a freelancer, I've become the marketing director for Southern Cross Campus Inc, headquartered in Port Charlotte, Florida. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit that assists children and youth through educational opportunities, therapy services, and housing for children and youth in foster care. My role is quite varied, but includes coordinating all our social media, website, print marketing, and events. I also help with looking for and applying for grants, soliciting donations, and managing fundraisers.Some of the skills that I use on a regular basis include graphic design, video production and editing, audio production and editing, blog writing, SEO, website design (using Wordpress), social media planning, and measuring the success of my efforts. I have extensive experience in creating and building social media presences for businesses. My own business, Playful Kitty LLC is completely internet based. It focuses on pet industry social media, SEO, and website services. I've worked with several companies and organizations over the years including Mars, PetSmart, P&G, the ASPCA, and more. My experience is not limited to marketing. For seven years, I worked as a paraprofessional for special needs students (Autism, Downs Syndrome, Multiply Impaired, and more). My college background is mostly in Special Education - Cognitive Impairments. I've also worked as a professional actress, appearing mostly in film, but in theater productions as well. Scripts and music that I've written have been used in films and podcasts.
