My diverse scientific career spans physics, biophysics, nanotechnology, sustainable aviation, and optical engineering. In all these disciplines I’ve taken on leadership roles and excelled in technical program management. Before starting my current role at Eikon, you would find me building bio-reactors in the desert, or fabricating nanometer-scale structures in a clean room. While my expertise lies in hands-on device creation and testing, I also bring valuable experience in handling large datasets and data analysis. Outside of work I find inspiration in the sky as an amateur astronomer and private pilot. My ultimate goal is to blend my professional proficiency with my passion and desire to create a cleaner, greener sky for generations of sky gazers and aviators.

Leading a team in the production and upkeep of custom fluorescence microscopes based on Nobel Prize-winning super-resolution fluorescence microscopy tools (developed by Eikon co-founder Eric Betzig). Designed QC inspections in order to build robust optical systems, and successfully lead the first effort to transport one of our instruments across the.

Routinely worked at our field site scaling algal growth efforts, maintaining larger systems, and performing algal health tests and analysis. Launched the 3D printing program at Viridos that enabled new ways of prototyping.

Presented the first impedance spectroscopy of ionic fluid in a graphene nanogap environment. By exploiting properties of quantum tunneling, DNA molecules could be more accurately studied as they are electrophoretically driven through the gap. The unique properties of graphene at nanoscale dimensions allow us to develop novel applications in computation.
