I founded the registered charity Adventure Therapy in 2017 after seeing, both personally and professionally, the positive difference that outdoor activities can make to children with life-shortening illnesses.Adventure Therapy exists to improve the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, young people and adults with unique health conditions, impairments or limitations through outdoor and adventure-led activities. This means that we support people with mental health conditions, physical disability, learning disability, life-threatening or life-shortening illnesses and life-changing conditions. We make a positive difference in challenging and complex lives.With our supportive board of Trustees, staff and volunteers, we change lives through adventure in Devon and Somerset.

Management of existing legacy portfolio whilst maintaining Institute of Legacy Management guidelines, Charity Commission regulations and Institute of Fundraising best practice.Leading on new initiatives and implementing a legacy strategy to maintain efficient legal administration, donor stewardship and development of an effective legacy fundraising and marketing programme.Raising awareness of legacy profile through public speaking, home visits, guided tours of three hospice sites, managing key legacy & in-memoriam events and in the provision of staff training.Recruiting and managing volunteers to assist with administration, fundraising events and tours of hospice sites.Developing a professional association with Devon & Somerset Law Society over a three year period and setting up a free Will scheme, across the South West region.Community and corporate fundraising and development through effective networking and building long-term supporter relations.Setting up and managing a significant regional art exhibition to raise funds and leading an art auction. A Certified Member of the Institute of Legacy Management and a Full member of the Institute of Fundraising. An Institute of Fundraising Mentor, for three consecutive years.
