A passionate, multidisciplinary leader with over a decade of experience leading teams to deliver data of the highest quality in pressurised environments across Sports Data, Performance Analysis and Educational Administration working for organisations that are at the pinnacle of their respective industries.As UK Football Operations Manager at Opta I was responsible for over 250 staff across two UK hubs and in the field as well as smaller teams in South America and the APAC region, delivering the highest level of performance data under the world’s leading sports analytics brand. I worked closely with clients as well as internal commercial, marketing and QA/Process stakeholders based around the globe developing a broad skillset that has allowed me to establish a trusted and respected reputation within a highly specialised but relatively young industry. I built and nurtured strong relationships with local Universities and HE institutions to offer knowledge and insight into the world of sports analysis as well as provide employment opportunities that would complement the skills of students and offer work experience that could help them build their own successful careers.My skills and experience allowed the data operations department within Opta to grow exponentially and consistently exceed internal KPIs whilst improving client satisfaction through high-quality analysis and building key stakeholder relationships, internally and externally at all levels.Broadening my knowledge and experience at AQA, the UK’s largest examination board I have been able to develop a team of Subject Matter Experts overseeing highly specialised processes into successful managers with clear succession and development plans throughout our structure. Despite being in post for less than 12 months I was promoted to temporary Head of Department and used my change management experience to lead the team through the transition on to a new processing system, navigating the impact of remote working and industrial action as part of that role. Offering my experience and passion to cross-operational working groups I led the Succession & Development working group, delivering key messages and running successful sessions on performance management and goal-setting. I was also a founding member of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion working group where created reports on gender and diversity and built relationships outside of the organisation to create an external EDI network.
