Rob is an experienced finance leader with 20 years of experience in the private and public/non-profit sectors. He currently leads the financial services and procurement departments at Banff Centre overseeing financial planning and reporting, financial services, investment management, risk management, tax compliance, and procurement. Rob also represents Banff Centre on the Board of Trustees of the Universities Academic Pension Plan and is a member of its Audit and Actuarial Committees. Rob was appointed CFO of Banff Centre in June 2021 having previously served as Banff Centre’s Director of Finance and Planning since 2016. Prior to joining Banff Centre, Rob worked in the private sector as an Independent Financial Consultant and as a Manager in PwC’s Advisory Services practice serving clients in various industries across different finance disciplines including CFO consulting, financial reporting for TSX listed entities, financial processes and controls, and financial risk management. Rob is a CPA, CA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.Rob lives with his family in Canmore, Canada where he spends his time snowboarding, ski touring, trail running, hiking, and mountain biking. Rob is an active volunteer and currently serves on the Board of Alpenglow School in Canmore which blends the teaching methods of Waldorf education and nature connection experiences.
