Use kinematic and kinetic measures to characterize the behavior basis of motor control, coordination, and learning. Non-invasive brain stimulation techniques are employed in conjunction with specific behavioral tasks to understand the neural basis of motor behavior. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) along with a Neural Navigation System, Brainsight, are used to measure cortical excitability and mechanisms of cortical inhibition and excitation. We employ targeted neural modulation; repetitive TMS paradigms and transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) to enhance as well as understand motor behavior.
