I am the Executive Director at Uplifting Athletes. It is truly an honor to love what I do and allow me to combine my passions of sports and fundraising to help a cause so near and dear to my heart. At Uplifting Athletes we raise money and awareness to fund research for rare diseases, enhance student athlete life skills development and rare disease patient engagement. As a rare disease survivor I have the opportunity to help others as so many have helped me. I am a graduate of Syracuse University where I pursued a Masters in New Media Management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I also received my B.S. from Syracuse University and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. I played football all four years at Syracuse and was a team captain my junior and senior year. In December of 2010 I was diagnosed with brain cancer which led me on an amazing journey. Since being diagnosed I have worked with several charities to raise awareness and money for cancer research. I have been extremely fortunate in my life to meet so many outstanding people.
