Managing a team of Process Analysts, externally contracted by the Financial Controls area within SLAL, to map the current business processes and the overall department operating model with a view to identifying enhancements to the business process and the supporting systems.Achievements• Performing project start up tasks such as creating and agreeing Terms of Reference, Project Plan and timeline and process mapping standards.• Capturing process information from Subject Matter Experts by conducting 1:1 interviews and facilitating workshops.• Mapping the business process and system interactions using ‘swimlane’ Activity diagrams.• Facilitating Challenge workshops with key Financial Controls staff to identify and document business, system, audit and SLA enhancements.

Working on a number of projects to enhance the financial accounting and actuarial data provided to all Finance, Actuarial and Tax teams whilst also supporting Group Change programs to enhance the customer product portfolio.Achievements• Project managing 3 Group Change projects through to completion with no adverse impact on financial accounting processes or procedures.• Creating and reviewing Sarbanes Oxley accounting process documents, ensuring all regulatory and compliance issues were identified and resolved• Delivering the Suspense Management project within 3 months of initial conception including the creation of Business Requirements, Business System Design and support documents.• Gaining the trust and by-in of Business Stakeholders to successfully implement the Suspense Management and Group Annuities projects

Worked on a number of projects including:- Migrating all customer data from the existing NatWest system infrastructure to the RBS group system platform whilst also deploying the existing RBS operational systems into the NatWest Branch and Telephony channels- Designing and implementing a Customer Relationship Management system into 4 telephony sales sites across both the RBS and NatWest brands using the Chordiant CRM framework interfaced with a Concerto Dialler.- A Fraud project aimed at identifying all fraud risks within the bank and implementing solutions to mitigate the risk and reduce fraud losses to the RBS Group- A new Diary Management system aimed to enhance the current appointment management system ensuring that all customer appointments could be booked automatically with a qualified advisor and an available room at first point of contact within the Branch, Telephony and Internet delivery channels.

The Banking SI department focussed on supporting the business with an Operational Support Helpdesk throughout the business opening hours whilst also delivering technical enhancements to fix issues that were raised via the helpdesk.Achievements:• Provided first line assistance to front line staff, reporting system issues or problems, and using systems analysis and problem solving techniques to investigate and resolve problems.• Created the test conditions and scripts to facilitate the User Acceptance and regression testing of fixes and managed the successful promotion of many fixes to the production environment.
