- Build the Hill (BTH) connects financially underserved individuals and businesses in the local community to low/no-interest loans - Co-Chair the organization and focus on events and general awareness on Campus - BTH recently awarded a two-year residency in UNC’s CUBE, a social innovation incubator, which includes $5000 of funding - Active member of Lend for America and attended the annual summit in Washington, DC, in November, 2015 - BTH acts as a level 3 Kiva Zip Trustee, which allows the organization to authorize microloans up to $10,000- Received a grant as a Brian Social Innovation Fellow for the year 2015 - Working towards reaching non-profit status and creating an independent fund to give microloans in the community

- The Durham VOICE is a community, bi-weekly publication in Northeast Central Durham- The VOICE is run by students at NC Central University and UNC-Chapel Hill, and it is not for profit- The publication seeks to strengthen the surrounding community

- Analysis of the Thai Power Development Plan (PDP) from 2015 to 2036 - Estimating the potential future greenhouse gas and air pollution emissions based on energy policy - Potential emissions are used to project the impacts on future human health in Thailand - The GAINS and CAMx air quality models are being used to perform this analysis

- SHOS works with countries to install free solar energy platforms on the private residencies of heads of state- Designed and maintains the organization’s website- Currently preparing installations in St. Lucia and Antigua and Barbuda - Recently held a press conference at COP21 in Paris, France, regarding SHOS’s current projects

- Assisted in the emergency response to stranded dolphins and a whale as part of the Marine Mammal Stranding Network - Gained field experience with bottlenose dolphin photo-ID, which was used to non-invasively identify and monitor animals - Worked on rearticulating a grampus whale skeleton - Aided in the necropsies of 15 bottlenose dolphins and a sei whale. Most were performed in the field.

Performed tropical meteorology research and constructed radiosondes under the guidance of Dr. Mathew D. Eastin, Associate Professor of Atmospheric Science and Earth Sciences Graduate Program Coordinator.
